Dalmatian Jasper, also known as Dalmatian Stone, is a unique stone with a range of metaphysical properties:

  • Joy and Playfulness: Dalmatian Jasper is often referred to as the stone of joy. It has a playful, childlike vibration that can help you release anger or feelings of hurt. It helps to dispel fear and ameliorate threats, making it a useful crystal to have at hand if your work brings you into contact with bullies or authority figures who seek to control you.
  • Grounding and Protection: The dark spots in Dalmatian Jasper are caused by Tourmaline deposits, which adds the energy of spiritual grounding and psychic protection to this stone. It is a protective stone and can be used or carried with you to dispel the kind of negativity that seems to seep into you from the complainers or pessimists you may be forced to share space with.
  • Balancing Energies: Dalmatian Jasper is a good cleanser, repelling or absorbing negativity from your auric field and helping you regain a positive outlook. It is useful as a balancing stone for the Yin and Yang energies of the body, addressing any lack or overabundance of either, bringing the meridian systems into harmony.
  • Connection with Inner Child: This stone allows us to connect with our own inner child and let go of resentment, bitterness, or feelings of restriction to immerse ourselves fully in the positive aspects of life.
  • Encourages Openness and Joy: The properties of Dalmatian Jasper range from protection and shielding to encouraging openness of expression, joy, and laughter.
  • Physical Properties: Dalmatian stone consists predominantly of feldspars (mesoperthite), Quartz, Alkali Amphiboles, and lesser amounts of Hematite and Epidote. It is measured as having a hardness of 6.5 -7 on the Mohs scale.

Dalmatian Jasper gets its name from its spotted appearance, bringing to mind the breed of dog known as Dalmatian. It is most often found as tumbled stones, carvings, cabochons, spheres, and beads.

Remember, while many people find these properties to be accurate, the impact can vary from person to person. Always trust your intuition when working with crystals.
